Summary

Provides evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic phases of illness in patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Management includes assessment of physical symptoms, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. Provides continued care throughout the patient's medical journey.

Qualifications

• Required Education and Experience:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Nurse Practitioner Educational Path
  • Physician Assistant: Physician Assistant Educational Path

• Certification:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Current New York State Nurse Practitioner certification; and Certification or eligibility for certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA)
  • Physician Assistant: Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department

• Experience:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing
  • Physician Assistant: Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies; or Bachelor’s or higher-level degree and completion of a Physician Assistant Certificate Program recognized by the New York State Education Department

• Additional Requirements:

  • Nurse Practitioner: Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) within nine (9) months of their appointment to this title as required by Medicare
  • Physician Assistant: Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six (6) months of their appointment to this title

Pay

The total combined starting rate for the Advanced Practice Provider I (Grade 28) is $121,038 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. The total combined starting salary for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) is $133,124 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule

Full time, First Shift (United States of America)
