About the role
Provides evaluation, treatment, and management of acute and chronic phases of illness in patients at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Management includes assessment of physical symptoms, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and prescribing medications. Provides continued care throughout the patient's medical journey. Provides care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Includes weekend and holiday rotation. Performs bone marrow biopsies.
Responsibilities

- Care provision in both outpatient and inpatient settings
- Performing bone marrow biopsies
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner: RN license, NP certification, master’s degree in nursing
- Physician Assistant: PA license, NCCPA certification, bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent, ACLS certification
Qualifications
- Master’s or higher-level degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioner
- Bachelor’s or higher-level degree in Physician Assistant Studies or equivalent for Physician Assistant
- Two (2) years of full-time progressively responsible Advanced Practice Provider experience in a service line at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center or at a cancer care or acute care facility recognized as comparable by Roswell Park for Physician Assistant
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center or other national certifying body recognized by HCFA for Nurse Practitioner
- Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission for Certification of Physicians Assistants (NCCPA) or other national certifying body recognized by the New York State Education Department for Physician Assistant

Benefits
Comprehensive benefits package including base salary and geographic differential. The total combined starting rate for the Advanced Practice Provider I (Grade 28) is $121,038 annually. The total combined starting salary for the Advanced Practice Provider II (Grade 30) is $133,124 annually. ACLS certification required within six (6) months of appointment.
