Job Summary

The Wound Care (WC) Nurse coordinates the clinical functions of the Center under general supervision. This role requires autonomy, responsibility for patient assessment, development, implementation, and coordination of the plan of care, and evaluation of the patient treatment. The nurse works collaboratively with the Outpatient Wound Care & Hyperbaric Director and Medical Director to meet CQI goals. They oversee patient care services, adhere to clinical policies and procedures, assist in evaluating new wound care products, and support hyperbaric treatments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in accordance with Nevada State Board of Nursing regulations
  • Current Nevada Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider
  • One year of oncology experience required
  • Two years prior experience in advanced wound care within the past 18 months preferred
  • Experience in nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
  • Experience in an ambulatory or outpatient setting, hyperbaric experience preferred
  • If not currently trained in Hyperbarics, training must be attained within 6 months of employment
