About the role

The TMS Care Coordinator plays a crucial role in the TMS Operations team, supporting patients through the TMS consultation process, insurance navigation, and patient education.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in educational consultations and demonstrations of the TMS device to interested patients.
  • Navigate the insurance landscape with patients and providers, completing prior authorization requests and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Collaborate with insurance companies and internal psychiatrists to facilitate Peer to Peer Reviews.
  • Write and follow up on insurance appeal letters, and work with the Benefits Investigator/Cost Estimation Team to provide accurate information to patients.
  • Assist patients in understanding their insurance approval process and provide consistent communication throughout the journey.
  • Schedule patients' TMS mappings with Physical Therapists (PTs) and Medical Doctors (MDs).
  • Work as a backup TMS Technician in emergency short staffing situations.
  • Attend clinic and regional meetings as directed.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in a healthcare-related field.
  • One year of experience in TMS Tech, prior authorization, or mental health.
  • A TMS training certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare settings, particularly in TMS operations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Pay

$25.00 - $28.00 per hour

Schedule

95% of duties will be performed within a single metropolitan area (region), with less than 5% travel outside the region.
