Transcon Agent (Outbound)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow
• Avoid delays and errors in data entry into our operational system
• Track and Trace Transcon files and reports accurately and on time
• Accurately and promptly bill clients and vendors
• Deliver freight and ensure timely clearance when necessary
• Communicate effectively with customers to meet their service standards
• Maintain good relationships with suppliers
• Comply with all regulations at all times
• Respond promptly to network communications and emails
• Meet Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per company policy

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or 1-year related experience in transportation or logistics
• Domestic Transportation industry knowledge
• Understanding of ocean documentation processes (optional)
• Effective interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear communication
• Pro-active and strong organizational skills
• Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Hazardous Materials certification (preferred)
• Fluency in English: written and verbal communication
• Typing speed of 45 words per minute or higher
