Job Description

Provide exceptional customer service on inquires, assists customers by effectively fulfilling customers needs. Ensure timely and accurate movement of freight and information, while providing an exceptional customer service within the Transcon Department and remaining focused on Operations, Finances, Sales, People, Systems, and Culture in adherence to the company’s policy and procedures.

Key Deliverables

  • Employee Satisfaction: Participate in Employee Performance Reviews and 1:1s. Complete 52 hours of training per year (4.33 per month). Complete all mandatory training timely.
  • Service Provider Management: Work only with 100% approved Suppliers and vendors. Ensure PU&D connectivity.
  • Culture: Exemplify Our Culture, Mission and Goals. Follow the 10 Critical Success Factors. Build healthy cross-functional relationships and work environment, promote team spirit and cohesiveness in the department.
  • Operations & Compliance: Comply with company controls, policies, procedures, processes. Participate in daily huddle meetings and Supervisor meetings weekly. Execute within the Transcon department, assisting in efficiency and operational excellence.
  • Performance Management: Support oversight, including self-assessments and daily, weekly and monthly performance monitoring. Identify and resolve issues proactively.
  • Exception Management: Help key all exceptions to provide visibility internally and externally. Identify areas to improve efficiency to offer customers better cycle times, service while improving margins. Optimize systems and tools and continuously improve efficiency, productivity and quality of the service.
  • Security, Health and Safety: Inform the Branch’s Health and Safety representative of any unsafe conditions or incidents. Ensure all correspondence within the business unit is handled timely and professionally. Maintain highest compliance levels for all applicable Transcon requirements. Escalate issues to Lead and Supervisor when needed.
  • Finance: Comply with all policies, including the credit policy. Ensure accurate and timely billing of customers and vendors.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • Prior experience in the logistics field or domestic transportation preferred
  • Customer Satisfaction oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels (written and oral)
  • Time management skills and attention to detail
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to complete activities within standard procedures, guidelines and office policies
  • Self-driven personality and good business sense
  • Availability to work in the warehouse
  • Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel applications
  • English and Spanish fluency
