Training Specialist

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Support curriculum development for training-related projects, managing them from inception to release and ensuring content is maintained after launch.
- Create content for training programs to be delivered through different platforms, depending on project need.
- Manage current training content and transfer to e-Learning modules as needed.
- Assign trainings and maintain training records for all employees and produce reporting as needed.
- Ensure content and structure of all training documents are documented and maintained in the appropriate repository.
- Continuously monitor and improve the quality and efficiency of training processes and procedures by evaluating the instructor's performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Develop training materials (course outline, background material, and training aids) and learner materials (workbooks, handouts, completion certificates, and program feedback forms) using industry’s best practices and customer requirements.
- May facilitate individual or group training sessions through a variety of modalities to adult learners.
- Cook up with the applicable departments and employees to create, communicate, and track training schedules and progress.
- Respond to questions via email, text, and phone calls from staff and trainees regarding general training information, assistance with travel or registrations, training policies and procedures.
- Gather information/survey data to assist with identifying weaknesses and areas that need additional training.
- Perform research to stay current with learning trends, instructional design techniques, technology, and facilitation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (or an associate degree with two or more years of extra training experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, or more than four years of related experience with a high school diploma or equivalent may be substituted for a degree).
- 2 or more years’ experience in curriculum development and facilitating training for adult learners.
- Ability to create innovative and engaging training materials and assist in administering the training.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of training assessment and evaluation processes.
- Extensive experience using technologies to create and deliver trainings, including software programs and LMS systems.
- Strong Microsoft Office Skills.
- Attention to Detail.
- Able to Multitask.
- Able to travel to site locations.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
- Previous HR Generalist or HR Administrative experience.
Job Summary
The Training Specialist is responsible for the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and the coordination of training for variety of developmental training topics for various levels of employees to support operational needs and meeting contract requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for creating necessary reports and maintaining training records for all contracts required and company training for the organization.
Work Schedule
This position is mission critical and essential to the ongoing operations and requires a flexible schedule to support a 24/7/365-day operation.

- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.
- Favorable credit Check.
- Successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
- Working Environment: Primarily remote but must be able to be onsite.
- Travel to different sites as needed.
- May include evenings and weekends to accommodate different time zones and projects.
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, have the mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0 – 10%
- Sitting: Sitting for prolonged and extended periods of time
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift 25lbs.
- Fine Motor Skills/Dexterity: Must be able to write, type and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
