Key Responsibilities

  • Training Program Development
  • Create engaging training resources such as presentations, manuals, videos, simulations, hands-on labs, checklists, and e-learning modules.
  • Incorporate real project lessons learned, technical updates, and evolving best practices into training content.
  • Training Delivery & Facilitation
  • Deliver classroom, virtual, and field-based training sessions for new hires, current teams, and subcontractors.
  • Lead practical, hands-on training at sites or centralized facilities covering critical activities like point-to-point testing, control logic verification, and emergency response.
  • Cooktrain-the-trainer programs to build internal training capacity within the commissioning organization.
  • Onboarding, Assessment & Development
  • Manage structured onboarding programs for new commissioning personnel.
  • Develop and administer competency assessments, skill evaluations, and field performance reviews.
  • Track training records, certifications, and individual development plans.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
  • Partner closely with Commissioning Managers, AEROS Manager, EHS Manager, Network Specialists, and engineering teams to ensure training remains current and relevant.
  • Gather feedback from field teams and leadership to refine programs and address performance gaps.
  • Support the creation and updating of standardized commissioning procedures and job aids.
  • Safety Integration
  • Embed rigorous safety training (OSHA, NFPA 855, LOTO, arc flash, etc.) into all programs in coordination with the EHS Manager.
  • Promote a strong safety-first culture through all training activities.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a related technical field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in BESS, renewable energy, or industrial commissioning/field operations; 2+ years of experience designing and delivering technical training programs (preferred).
  • Skills & Knowledge: Deep technical expertise in BESS systems, AEROS™ EMS/controls, industrial networking, and commissioning processes; strong instructional design, presentation, and facilitation skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly; proficiency with learning management systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and Microsoft Office; excellent communication and collaboration abilities across technical and field teams.
