About the role

The Training Specialist supports operational excellence, compliance, and employee development through designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs and opportunities throughout Kerry Byesville.
  • Create any training resources needed, including work instructions and Alchemy content.
  • Conduct classroom and on-the-job training sessions.
  • Support and embrace CI (Continuous Improvement) culture and methodology.
  • Follow compliance & standards.
  • Assist with coordination and delivery of all required monthly training for Kerry Byesville in adherence to business requirements and positional expectations.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and promoting the skills matrix program.
  • Ensure training meets Kerry SOPs, HSE guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation for all training activities.
  • Ensure timely re-certification for mandatory programs (e.g., HSE, WHMIS, forklift).
  • Track training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records in the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Partner with HR, department managers, and PMO to align training with business needs.
  • Facilitate onboarding and support career development programs.
  • Aide in area specific RCA’s (Root Cause Analysis) and PPS (Practical Problem Solving) when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Training, or related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in training, teaching or in learning & development, preferably in manufacturing or food industry.

Skills

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and LMS platforms (Alchemy).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Additional Information

  • Must be comfortable working in a production environment.
  • Working flexible hours when needed to support training & production needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $63,600 - $106,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
