About the role

This role is critical in maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of training and compliance systems to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Create, edit, and maintain corporate documents, including policies, procedures, and training materials, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Implement and manage a document control system to track document versions, approvals, and distribution, ensuring timely access to the most current documents for all employees.
  • Ensure all corporate documents align with legal and regulatory requirements, conducting regular reviews and updates as needed.
  • Work closely with various departments, including operations, safety, HR, and finance, to gather information and ensure all documentation accurately reflects company practices and standards.
  • Develop training programs and materials to align with the corporate learning management system and provide support to employees in understanding and utilizing corporate documents effectively.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and demonstrating compliance with established procedures.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in document management and development, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency.
  • If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
  • Responsible to keep work areas safe and free of hazards. Performs Field Level Risk Assessments.
  • Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
  • Comply with Redpath’s Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Able to work 40 hours a week, overtime when required, and shift rotations, as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in document development and control, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and safety standards in the mining industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proper use and safe handling of tools, equipment and materials.
  • Knowledge of the mining industry underground environment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining.

  • Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
  • High level of attention to detail, neatness and accuracy.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
