It addresses challenges in protective services by conducting investigations, providing services, and making referrals that promote safe, stable, and thriving environments for individuals and families.About the OpportunityThe Training & Development Specialist VI - LAM designs, delivers, and evaluates advanced training programs, with a primary focus on leadership development. This role ensures training initiatives align with organizational goals while strengthening employee capabilities, supporting effective leadership, and enhancing overall organizational performance.Responsibilities• Deliver training through classroom, distance learning, and e-learning platforms.• Facilitate workshops, meetings, and training sessions using effective instructional and group-management techniques.• Develop training curricula using sound instructional design principles.• Evaluate training programs to measure effectiveness, learning outcomes, and knowledge transfer.• Design and customize training plans based on identified learning objectives and organizational needs.• Manage work plans for leadership training activities, including prioritization, scheduling, and coordination.• Prepare and organize training materials and ensure required equipment and technology are functional.• Arrange and maintain training environments that support established learning objectives.• Enter and maintain accurate training data, including registration, attendance, evaluations, and completion records.• Maintain training records, calendars, and participant rosters in accordance with retention policies.• Review, implement, and improve training programs, policies, and procedures aligned with strategic plans.• Apply leadership development tools such as mentoring, coaching, and other professional development techniques.• Coordinate training activities independently while exercising sound judgment and maintaining program quality.Requirements• Experience in senior-level training and development roles.• Ability to work with minimal supervision and exercise independent judgment.• Strong instructional design and training delivery skills across multiple learning formats.• Excellent organizational, planning, and coordination skills.• Ability to assess training effectiveness and implement continuous improvements.• Knowledge of leadership development methods, including mentoring and coaching.• Experience managing training databases and maintaining accurate program records.• Strong communication and facilitation skills.• Ability to manage multiple training initiatives and competing priorities.• Willingness and ability to travel up to 40%.Pay Range and Compensation Package• Salary range: $5,797.66–$9,508.25 per month.Benefits & Perks• 100% employer-paid health insurance for employees, with 50% coverage for eligible family members.• Retirement plans providing lifetime monthly payments after five years of service.• 401(k) and 457 savings plans.• Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.• Optional dental, vision, and life insurance at reduced rates.• Flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care.• Employee discounts on various goods and services.• Potential eligibility for Public Service Loan Forgiveness.
