About the role
The Site Training Coordinator at Kenco Logistics is responsible for facilitating on-the-job training for employees on various processes and procedures, including warehouse floor and forklift operation duties. This position also involves providing training on the safe use of equipment and powered industrial equipment, educating on safety procedures, maintaining training logs, assisting in the creation and revision of training materials, and performing miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates on-the-job training to new, existing, and inexperienced employees on warehouse floor and forklift operation duties.
- Provides training on the safe use of equipment and powered industrial equipment such as RF scanners, forklifts, inventory systems.
- Trains on operations processes and procedures.
- Edits on safety procedures for safe performance of job and operation of equipment.
- Maintains training logs and checks off training completion.
- Aids management in the creation and revision of training materials.
- Safely operates powered industrial equipment to move products or materials for distribution such as clamp/slip sheet equipment.
- Loads, unloads, and stores products and/or materials.
- Stacks and/or transports materials and products to designated areas.
- Picks orders for shipment, ensuring the correct number and type of product is loaded.
- Measures, weighs, and counts products and materials.
- Packs orders for shipments by parcel, LTL, and TL carriers.
- Affixes proper shipping and tracking labels to boxes and pallets.
- Ensures outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Records product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records.
- Ensures product rotation procedures are followed.
- Reviews and analyzes daily production reports.
- Participates in Inventory/Cycle Count as needed.
- Reports missing items or quality variances to direct supervisor.
- Performs daily safety inspections per the Safety Checklist on forklift trucks.
- Ensures facility is inspection ready at all times for SQFI, FDA, and customer needs.
- Communicates and reports any incidents to supervisor.
- Performs miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Must be a licensed forklift operator or be able to obtain a Forklift Operator license.
- Minimum 6 months experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
