About the role

The Office of the State Employer is seeking an innovative individual to serve as the HR Developer for the Training and Advocacy Division. This position serves as the HR Developer for the Training and Advocacy Division of the Office of the State Employer (OSE).

Responsibilities

  • Create and deliver learning content and facilitate trainings that reach leaders and labor relations professionals across all State agencies.
  • Plan, develop, conduct, and evaluate training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Training and Advocacy Division team.
  • Support the Governor in directing and developing statewide labor relations policy.
  • Provide guidance and training to State of Michigan employees.
  • Deliver programs that cultivate employee success.

Requirements

  • Full-time in-office position due to the anticipated amount of time spent conducting training sessions and collaborating with the Training and Advocacy Division team.

Qualifications

  • Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.
  • Experience: Human Resource Developer 9 - No specific type or amount is required. Human Resource Developer 10 - One year of professional experience in planning, developing, conducting, or evaluating staff development, training, or other programs equivalent to a Human Resources Developer. Human Resource Developer P11 - Two years of professional experience in planning, developing, conducting, or evaluating staff development, training, or other programs equivalent to a Human Resources Developer, including one year equivalent to a Human Resources Developer 10.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and deliver effective training sessions.
  • Knowledge of labor relations and employee development.
