About the role

Join a dynamic technical training team where you'll help develop and deliver impactful learning programs for vehicle technicians supporting advanced electric and autonomous vehicle operations. This role combines hands-on technical expertise, instructional delivery, and cross-functional collaboration to help teams stay aligned, safe, and ready to perform.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deliver technical and non-technical training for vehicle technicians, maintenance personnel, and internal stakeholders.
  • Create lesson plans, learning materials, handouts, and quick reference guides to support onboarding and ongoing development.
  • Assess training needs by working with internal and external partners to identify skill gaps and learning priorities.
  • Facilitate classroom sessions and on-the-job instruction, while tracking completion and reporting training metrics.
  • Support training topics such as high-voltage safety, electric vehicle systems, CAN diagnosis, component repairs, and special tooling.
  • Help communicate updates to policies, procedures, and practices so teams stay informed and aligned.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and use feedback, performance data, and best practices to improve learning programs over time.
  • Occasionally drive company vehicles for training-related needs, demonstrations, or limited transportation between locations.

Skills

  • 2–5 years of automotive or autonomous vehicle experience.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, wiring schematics, and service best practices.
  • Hands-on knowledge of EV systems, including AC/DC electrical systems, battery management systems, inverters, charging systems, and troubleshooting.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical topics to varied audiences.
  • Foundational instructional design experience and comfort building training content and presentations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, training documentation, and learner feedback.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen, and comply with substance abuse policies.
  • Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and work in shop, warehouse, outdoor, and noisy environments.
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% across the United States.

Preferred Skills

  • ASE certifications.
  • AC609 certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Experience with Google Suite.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms, JIRA, SAP, DMS, or similar systems.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across engineering, quality, service operations, manufacturing, or reliability.
  • Experience supporting training in electric vehicle or autonomous vehicle environments.
