Traffic Lead

The Traffic Lead at WHY Brands is responsible for overseeing all transportation functions to ensure timely and accurate shipping of products to customers. Key responsibilities include:

• Schedule and secure appointments for all outbound shipments
• Manage carrier performance and negotiate best possible freight rates
• Coordinate inbound/outbound transportation and maintain appropriate policies and procedures
• Manage costs within budget and share with the team
• Compile and analyze shipping activities for cost savings improvements
• Provide a safe work environment and enforce safety rules and policies

Qualifications include:

• 3-5 years of experience leading a shipping department
• Experience coordinating carrier bookings, rate negotiation, and supervising truck loading
• Demonstrated knowledge of transportation principles, regulations, and market spot rate bidding
• Experience with various carriers including UPS, FedEx, and routing portals
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in PC and mainframe applications
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Salary range: $23 - $26 per hour (DOE)
