Traffic Engineering Specialist

About The Role

Are you a driven professional with a passion for making a difference in the world? We're looking for someone like you to join our team as a Traffic Engineering Associate. In this role, you'll work in an integrated environment alongside other disciplines to develop and deliver comprehensive services and products to our clients.

What You Will Do

• Prepare various types of traffic studies such as traffic engineering studies, Intersection safety analysis, Interchange analysis, assist with corridor planning documents
• Provides Intersection and corridor operational analysis
• Aids in the development of intersection operational improvements
• Prepares traffic signal and signing/pavement marking designs
• Using Synchro software develop traffic analysis and help implement signal timing plans
• Participates in project site visits with other project team members as needed
• Aids in transportation planning studies as needed
• Performs and reviews traffic counts, speed studies, access permits, and safety studies for the Georgia Department of Transportation
• Prepares and reviews traffic studies to determine appropriate treatments and traffic control to resolve safety and congestion issues
• Works with other disciplines such as survey, roadway design, and environmental to increase engineering knowledge and facilitate successful project delivery
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail
• Performs other duties as requested
