Trade Support Engineer (Chicago)

About the role

Work directly with our Development, Trading, and IT organizations to ensure trading operations are optimized and healthy. Focus on identifying and resolving issues related to trading and providing world-class support to traders. Drive strategic projects across the firm to improve trading operations and the technology that supports our traders.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring and managing trading platforms across multiple markets
• Monitoring and supporting Linux environments
• Working in the trading industry with a focus on supporting traders and trading infrastructure
• Collaborating with technical and non-technical people to help drive business initiatives
• Identifying and solving problems that most cannot
• Working with trade teams to assist with on-boarding new opportunities
• With automation and process improvement

Requirements

• Experience in a trade support role
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating system
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and Multicast
• Intermediate Bash and core Python ability. Prior large Python projects preferred but not required
• Able to trace order event streams using logs and packet captures
• Able to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Pay

Annual compensation range $150,000 - $200,000 base + discretionary bonus opportunity
