Top Store Leader - Central Market

Key Responsibilities

• Own full-store P&L sales, margin, labor, shrink, and expenses
• Translate market trends and competitive insights into clear, actionable strategies
• Identify long-term opportunities and position the store to outperform the market
• Make high-impact decisions on staffing, merchandising, and resource allocation
• Lead daily operations across all departments with a focus on consistency, speed, and quality
• Navigate complexity and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Leverage deep understanding of customer preferences and local market dynamics
• Elevate product presentation and ensure the store reflects a best-in-class standard

Mercandising Leadership

• Own the in-store experience across fresh, center store, and general merchandise
• Drive merchandising strategy seasonal planning, pricing, assortment, and inventory optimization
• Leverage deep understanding of customer preferences and local market dynamics
• Translate insight into differentiated store execution
• Lead and evolve General Merchandise categories including Baby, Beauty, Entertainment, Seasonal, and Texas Backyard/Farm & Ranch
• Identify growth opportunities and refine assortment to meet customer demand
• Align merchandising strategy with financial and operational goals

Leadership & Talent Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 20+ managers across all functions
• Create a strong leadership bench and succession pipeline
• Own all talent decisions hiring, promotion, development, and performance management
• Create a culture of accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement

Change Leadership & Innovation

• Lead the store through change with clarity and confidence
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall performance
• Integrate data and insights from multiple sources to make informed decisions
• Act as a change agent—driving innovation while maintaining operational discipline
