Tooling Supervisor

About the role
The Tooling Supervisor ensures safety while managing the tuning and maintaining of extrusion tools. This role oversees the tuning program, maintains extrusion tools for optimal performance, and assists in designing new tools and products. The position collaborates with site management to support employee-related efforts, including training, compliance, discipline, engagement, and retention. The Tooling Supervisor consistently demonstrates and promotes behaviors aligned with core values.
This is an on-site role located in Nephi, UT.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols
- Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
- Tune extrusion tools to produce parts at specification
- Maintain existing extrusion tools to ensure they produce at specification
- Assist in the design of new tools and products
- Ensure all personnel perform assigned job duties
- Handle disciplinary and coaching items
- Manage PTO requests to ensure proper team coverage
- Complete and process time-off requests and timesheets for payroll in a timely manner
- Set clear expectations for employees
- Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs
Requirements
- 2-year certificate in a Machinist-related field
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated progressive responsibility
- Understanding of NVP QA specification guidelines
- Experience working in a manufacturing/distribution organization preferred
- Professional and personable, with the ability to work individually and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on hands-on tasks
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs
