ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Lays out, fabricates, assembles, and repairs jigs, fixtures, forms, templates, and related tooling used in manufacturing aircraft parts and assemblies, following blueprints, sketches, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
- Assists in leading tool builder 1 and 2 team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 5+ years of experience in setup and operating lathes, bridgeport, surface grinder, etc.
- 5+ years of experience in inspection gages and equipment (i.e.: micrometers, calipers, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T
- Understanding of general customer requirements and specifications
- Able to complete a job from start to finish with little to no assistance
- Basic math skill
- Ability to prepare detailed instructions for fabricating or machining to be performed by other workers
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to effectively handle tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work varied shifts, overtime, and weekends when necessary
- Able to work with management team to help drive performance of location

- While performing the duties of this job, employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes and airborne particles
- The employee may be exposed to vibration
- The employee is occasionally exposed to caustic chemicals
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
- May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday
- May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands
- Work with safe manufacturing processes and understand that eyewear is mandatory in the manufacturing area
- Knows that safety shoes are recommended in the manufacturing area

- Must be able to frequently walk and stand for short periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs, occasionally lift and move objects up to 50lbs.
