Toolmaker

About the role

J&J Precision, Inc is seeking a Toolmaker with design experience to create precision tools such as jigs, molds, and dies, along with special guides and holding devices that help bring a customer’s design into production. The role involves collaborating directly with customers to visualize and realize their designs, determining required materials and machines for fabrication, and serving as a liaison between the customer and the production team once the product is ready for manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate precision tools (jigs, molds, dies, guides, and holding devices).
• Work with customers to interpret and bring their designs to life.
• Visualize products to determine materials and machining processes required.
• Act as a liaison between customers and the production team during manufacturing.
• Solve problems independently while contributing as a team player.

Requirements

• Proficiency in shop mathematics, metal properties, machining, and assembly.
• Minimum of three years of work experience in manufacturing.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
