Tier 3 Unified Communications Engineer (5491) (TS/SCI) (Ft. Bragg, NC)

This is a full-time onsite position in Ft. Bragg, NC.

About the role

SMX is seeking a Tier 3 Unified Communications Engineer to provide engineering, administration, sustainment, and troubleshooting for Unified Communications, VTC, and conference room capabilities supporting classified and unclassified environments. The successful candidate will ensure secure, reliable collaboration services for Government mission operations.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, configure, operate, and maintain Cisco/Tandberg VTC and Unified Communications systems.
• Provide Tier 3 troubleshooting, fault isolation, and root-cause analysis.
• Schedule and support executive-level VTC sessions and conference services.
• Develop SOPs, conduct site surveys, and recommend technical improvements.
• Perform asset accountability, lifecycle management, and system security functions.
• Support multi-classification VTC environments and bridge operations.
• Train end users and IT staff on supported capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
• 12–15 years of relevant experience.
• Security+ (IAT Level II) or equivalent certification.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with Cisco/Tandberg codecs, networking, and Microsoft Office.

Desired Skills

• Army Intel experience.
