Throughput Technician- Remote

About the role

The Throughput Center Technician provides a variety of nursing support services throughout the East community.

Responsibilities

• Deploy nursing staffing resources to facilitate cost-effective coverage for all shifts within multiple patient care areas in the East Community hospitals.
• Place patients in appropriate units based on physician orders and identified criteria.
• Proactively analyze and identify staffing issues with a focus on resolution.
• Facilitate hospital throughput.
• Collect data as directed.
• Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, and service standards.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
• Previous clinical experience preferred but not required; training will be provided.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills; must possess the ability to deal tactfully with a variety of callers.
• Ability to be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork.
• Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and tact.

• Must uphold all principles of confidentiality and patient care to the fullest extent.
• Analytical mind, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
