About the role

The Association for Individual Development (AID) seeks a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional who will provide case management and counseling services to individuals with persistent mental illness, Spanish speakers, or those who speak a second language. Services are provided in various settings, including family and individual treatment, both onsite and in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective individual, couples, & family counseling, as assigned
  • Complete clinical assessments meeting program funders and administrative rules
  • Refer clients for community-based case management services as needed
  • Offer case management services as medically necessary
  • Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, encounter, consent) on time
  • Achieve and maintain required certifications and trainings
  • Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
  • Promote awareness and respect for client diversity

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a human services field
  • Licenses/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
  • Physical: Navigation of stairs, tolerance of unkempt home conditions
  • Equipment: Computer with Microsoft Windows applications, copy machine, telephone with voice mail system
  • Additional Requirements: Evening work flexibility, personal vehicle, valid Illinois driver’s license, and compliant driving record

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in a human services field
  • Licenses/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
  • Physical: Navigation of stairs on a regular basis; Tolerance of unkempt home conditions of clients
  • Equipment: Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, copy machine, telephone with voice mail system
  • Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work evening hours, use of personal automobile, maintenance of automobile liability insurance as defined by AID’s personnel policies, maintenance of valid Illinois driver’s license, and compliance with driving record standards as defined by AID’s insurance carrier

Benefits

Full-time employees receive 21 days of paid time off prorated based on hours worked plus 10 paid holidays. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD, LTD, Critical Illness, and accident insurance. The 401K plan offers a 3.5% company contribution after one year if you work 1000 hours annually. Additionally, there is tuition reimbursement.
