Therapist QMHP - Kane County

About the role

The Association for Individual Development (AID) seeks a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) for Kane County (Batavia, St. Charles, Geneva area). The ideal candidate will embody AID's mission to empower individuals with various challenges to live dignified and purposeful lives.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective individual, couples, & family counseling, as assigned
• Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules
• Refer clients for community-based case management services as needed
• Provide case management services as medically necessary
• Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis
• Maintain minimum service provision/billing standards
• Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
• Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
• Promote awareness and respect for the diversity of our clients, employees, families and other stakeholders

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree in a human services field
• Licenses/Certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
• Physical: Navigation of stairs on a regular basis; Tolerance of unkempt home conditions of clients
• Equipment: Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications, Copy machine, Telephone with voice mail system
• Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work evening hours, Use of personal automobile, Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AID’s personnel policies, Maintain valid Illinois driver’s license, Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AID’s insurance carrier
