About the role
Join a community-focused mental health team as a full-time Therapist In Training, providing comprehensive assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering individual psychotherapy and psychoeducation under licensed supervision.
Responsibilities
- Conducting clinical assessments and evaluations
- Providing individual therapy services
- Maintaining accurate documentation
- Participating in treatment and recovery team meetings
- Collaborating with community partners and referral sources
- Engaging in ongoing supervision and professional development
- Applying trauma-informed, person-centered, evidence-based practices
This role primarily focuses on individual therapy, with occasional group facilitation opportunities.
Qualifications
- A master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field
- Practicum experience in mental health or community services
- Eligibility for or current Wisconsin "In Training" license (e.g., APSW, LPC-IT, MFT-IT)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred skills: active licensure, experience with justice-involved populations, trauma-informed care knowledge.
