Therapeutic Recreation Service Technician - Lifestyle Wellness (Missoula, MT)

Responsibilities

• Work independently in assigned location/region.
• Travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to client or service area.
• Lead and instruct participants in gaining life skills.
• Plan and lead recreational activities.
• Implement interventions sensitive to client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill, and experience level.
• Role model by demonstrating and engaging in activities alongside clients to promote positive lifestyle skills.
• Assist TRPD in creating protocols for interventions that include short-term goals and criteria for assignment.
• Observe client response to intervention and verbally communicate/collaborate with TRPD and treatment team members.
• Document outcomes of the intervention in EHR per policy to provide evidence for TRPD needed for evaluation of TR program effectiveness.
• At transition or discharge, provide TRPD with client information to assist in formulating a transition/discharge plan.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience.
• Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record.
• Must have an acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Pay

Therapeutic Recreation Service Technicians earn $17.75 per hour.
