Rehab Services Technician

About the role

Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI), a leading orthopedic medical practice with multiple locations in Chicago and suburbs, is seeking part-time Rehabilitation Technicians at their Lake Bluff Physical Therapy location. This role is within IBJI's Rehab Services Division, where technicians contribute to patient care and clinic success.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast-paced orthopedic rehab office.
• Daily clinic maintenance: cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing linen, stocking supplies.
• Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and out of the way of patients to ensure safe conditions in the clinic.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly checks of maintenance tasks to comply with IBJI guidelines.
• Assist therapists in carrying out exercise programs for patients, including setting up equipment and modalities.
• Communicate with therapists on observations made during patient exercise programs.
• Take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
• Print home exercise programs for patients under the direction of the clinician.
• Inventory both clinical and non-clinical materials.
• Support the front desk staff by following best practices: checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co-pays, scanning, answering the phone.
• Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy.
• Maintain a positive attitude in the clinic.
• Demonstrate professionalism with prompt work attendance and flexibility with established work hours.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Attending High School or having a High School degree minimum.
• Available to work 8 hours per week, including opening and closing shifts.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented and demonstrates effective time management.
• Skilled in Windows; MS Office; Email access.
• Flexible to work morning, mid, and evening shifts (no later than 7:00 pm), NO WEEKENDS.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience.

Schedule

No weekends, flexible morning, mid, and evening shifts (no later than 7:00 pm).
