About the role
A rehabilitation service technician supports the staff with a team-oriented approach in delivering exceptional customer service and care with the goal of improving a patient’s overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast-paced orthopedic rehab office.
- Daily clinic maintenance: including but not limited to cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing linen, stocking supplies.
- Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and out of the way of patients to maintain safe conditions in the clinic.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly checks of maintenance tasks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
- Act as an extender to the therapists; assist clinicians with carrying out exercise programs for patients including setup on equipment and modalities.
- Communicate with therapist on any observations made during the patient's exercise program.
- Take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
- Print home exercise program for patients under the direction of the clinician.
- Inventory of both clinical and non-clinical materials.
- For clinics that utilize techs for front desk support, follow best practice procedures that involve clerical duties: including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co-pays, scanning, answering the phone.
- Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines by protecting the patient's identity.
- Ability to work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or background.
- Maintain a positive attitude in clinic.
- Demonstrates professionalism with prompt work attendance and flexibility with established work hours.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
- Must be currently enrolled in school or a high school graduate.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds to waist height.
- Detail oriented and demonstrates effective time management.
- Skilled in Windows; MS Office; Email access.

Pay
$15.00-$16.00 per hour.
