Rehab Services Technician
About the role
Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI), Chicagoland's premier orthopedic medical practice with several Chicago and suburban locations, has part time Rehabilitation Technician openings at our New Lenox location.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast paced orthopedic rehab office.
- Daily clinic maintenance: including but not limited to cleaning treatment tables and equipment, changing out linen, stocking supplies.
- Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and out of the way of patients to maintain safe conditions in the clinic.
- Daily, weekly and monthly checks of maintenance tasks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
- Act as an extender to the therapists; assist clinicians with carrying out exercise programs for patients including set up on equipment and modalities.
- Communicate with therapist on any observations made during the patient's exercise program.
- Take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
- Print home exercise program for patients under the direction of the clinician.
- Inventory of both clinical and non-clinical materials.
- For clinics that utilize techs for front desk support, follow best practice procedures that involve clerical duties: including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co-pays, scanning, answering the phone.
- Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines by protecting the patient's identity.
- Maintain a positive attitude in clinic.
- Demonstrate professionalism with prompt work attendance and flexibility with established work hours.
Requirements
- This position is about 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- High School Degree minimum or currently attending.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Detail oriented and demonstrates effective time management.
- Displays professional and effective writing and verbal communication skills.
- Skilled in Windows; MS Office; Email access.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills and relevant experience. Pay
$15 - $16 per hour

This position is about 15 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
