At Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, we count on the Therapeutic Group Home (TGH) Manager to provide leadership to Mental Health Workers to assure a safe environment that supports trauma-informed care. The TGH Manager serves as an active member of the Leadership Team, partnering with other leaders to ensure adherence to the mission and values of Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch and working to attain strategic goals. Additionally, they serve as a primary point of contact with outside agencies, partners, and youth families.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback and guidance to Mental Health Workers and Lead Mental Health Workers, ensuring all staff are professionally trained and certified.
  • Ensure the milieu program follows YBGR policies and is consistent with YBGR treatment philosophy.
  • Ensure a safe environment for youth that allows for quality care to achieve their treatment goals.
  • Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation, when necessary, as part of regular service delivery or on an as-needed/on-call basis.
  • Oversee administrative areas including scheduling, supervision, budgetary and fiscal matters, and other assigned tasks.
  • Collaborate as a member of the Lodge’s Treatment Team.
  • Ensure timely, outcomes-based treatment planning documentation is submitted for all MTPRs and individualized treatment plans are implemented correctly.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication and working relationships with the families and collaterals of the residents.

Requirements

  • 21 years old or older.
  • Must pass criminal record and child abuse registry background check as required by the State of Montana.
  • Education and Experience:
    • An advanced degree in social work or a comparable human service field and two years of relevant experience; or
    • A bachelor’s degree in social work or a comparable human service field and four or more years of relevant experience.
  • Internal candidates who do not meet the above requirements but have demonstrated competency and potential may be considered with a personalized career development plan, including enhanced supervision and completion of any unmet educational requirements.
  • Valid license to operate a passenger vehicle.

Pay

Salary Range: $1,841.80 - $2,072.96 bi-weekly. Salary reflects steps 1-5 of an 11-step pay schedule. The starting salary will be determined based on the applicant’s education and relevant experience.
