About the role

The Heights Casino is looking to hire an assistant squash professional to join their world class coaching team. We have a large, vibrant and successful junior and adult squash program and a wonderful coaching team to serve our membership. This position reports to the Squash Director.

Responsibilities

• Fully join our squash program's vision and goals
• Work as part of a team with enthusiasm, reliability, and a kind and encouraging nature
• Teach and demonstrate great sportsmanship, values, team spirit and support to members and colleagues
• Organize and assist with inter-club events/tournaments, private lessons and group clinics, camps, and tournament coaching
• Enhance the member experience by proactively engaging the membership in all things squash related
• Coach primarily in the junior program, with possible assistance/coaching lessons/clinics with the adult squash community in singles and doubles

Requirements

• At least 3 years of coaching experience at all levels
• Recognized coaching qualifications and/or professional international playing experience preferred
• Great communication skills (verbal, written and non-verbal), friendliness and respect
• Valid US work visa not necessary, though preferred

Founded in 1904, it has served continuously since then as an indoor tennis and squash facility for youngsters, teenagers and adults of all ages. With 500 members, it is a social center for its members and their guests, and hosts many private parties and community events. The junior squash program is one of the largest and most historic in the USA.
