About the role

Root Seventy Three is a youth-led artist development initiative built by and for the local community. We operate an open-door, community-rooted recording studio in London, focusing on nurturing new, young artists serious about their craft. Our mission is to provide access to equipment, space, and time for writing and recording, along with industry experience.

As a community-focused platform, we create opportunities for artists to collaborate, showcase their work, and cross-promote. Through a partnership with Ditto Music Publishing, we also offer support in distribution, marketing, and monetization.

About The Silhouettes Project

Launched in 2019, The Silhouettes Project was created to shine a light on the new generation of underground Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Soul music in the UK. We believe community is everything and wanted to demonstrate that with a proper support network, access to professional facilities, and encouragement from a family of artists, our community could produce something incredible.

We felt a shared frustration that the current UK music scene only supported talent in certain genres while overlooking a thriving alternative Hip-Hop culture. The Silhouettes Project unifies artists making groundbreaking music who need a solid structure to work within—artists who deserve more recognition. The name reflects our goal: to shine a light on those in the shadows.
