Test Lab Engineer 2 (3rd Shift)

Position Responsibilities

• Train and oversee the work of Lab technicians and other Engineers to analyze test setups, test methods and results.
• Aid with lab activities to enhance efficiency and implement process improvements.
• Develop project plans using ELP webpage, track and maintain schedules to ensure timely completion.
• Facilitate lab's efforts to maintain ISO 17025, ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards.

Knowledge And Skills

• Advanced knowledge of HVAC System design and refrigeration cycle.
• Knowledgeable in Thermodynamics, Fluid Dynamics, and Mass Transfer.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to shorten product development cycle time using DFA and DFM techniques.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Bill of Materials, Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Proficiency in developing and executing processes in a lab environment.
• Strong engineering analysis skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Experience

• 2+ years in related field.
• Prior experience in ISO 17025 or equivalent accredited lab environment.
• Knowledge of HVAC safety and governing standards.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
• Thesis or publications in the fields of Thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid dynamics etc. preferred.
• EPA 608 certification preferred.
