Join US Foods as a Territory Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping customer relationships and driving business growth. You’ll nurture existing accounts, hunt for new business, and work collaboratively in a team-based selling model. Responsibilities
- Own and nurture customer relationships in a team-based selling model; educate customers on ordering platforms, provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
- Drive sales success by increasing case growth, acquiring new business, and delivering impactful sales presentations tailored to individual customers.
- Collaborate with Specialists, marketing, supply chain, and customer service teams to ensure seamless product delivery and assist with top penetration opportunities.
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, and leads from existing clients.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot issues such as delivery mispicks, short loads, or stock-outs.
- Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales to provide value-added services to customers.
- Conduct regular check-ins, site visits, and follow-ups using a personal motor vehicle to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a motor vehicle record in good standing.
- Foodservice industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and negotiation skills.
- Team-oriented mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savviness, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
Work Environment
Daily outside-the-office environment working in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.

Pay
The initial expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 - $95,000, depending on relevant experience, education, skills, geographic location, and other factors.
