What You’ll Do

  • Prospecting New Business: Drive new business growth through outbound lead generation efforts, fielding inbound leads, and managing administrative tasks.
  • In-Field Sales: Help customers gather their cattle, discuss how Halter could benefit their pastures, and attend industry events.
  • Expanding Existing Opportunities: Expand relationships with existing customers and find new ways to increase value over time.
  • Hitting Sales Targets: Manage high-growth sales targets, manage today’s deals while keeping next month in your sights, and hit ambitious growth targets.
  • Customer Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, provide support, and address any challenges they face with Halter’s products.
  • Field Learnings & Feedback: Gather customer feedback in your territory, advocate for what your customers need, and collaborate with support teams.
  • Attending Industry Events: Participate in demonstrations and network to expand Halter’s influence in the market.
  • Contributing to the US Sales Strategy: Work with the broader team to optimize and evolve the sales process, ensuring it fits the US market.

Requirements

  • Ranching / Cattle Experience: Understanding of ranching or cattle operations.
  • Sales & Customer Success Expertise: History of creating new business opportunities, negotiating a value-based sales conversation, and building lasting customer relationships.
  • Territory Management Experience: Experience managing a large territory with a balanced focus on sales and customer success, ideally within agriculture or technology.
  • Problem Solving & Collaboration Ability: Resourceful and quick-thinking, able to work well with cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive solutions.
  • Willingness to Travel: Frequent travel within your territory to engage with customers and prospects.

Qualifications

  • Driven Attitude & Communication Skills: Results-driven, motivated, and adaptable, skilled at communicating with customers and internal teams alike.
  • Background in Customer-Facing Roles: Background in selling software (SaaS) solutions in a B2B environment.
