About the role

The Territory Manager, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) role is part of the US Commercial Field Sales team. This position requires remote/field-based work and involves managing a territory of various MEP accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze metrics in SalesForce, Power BI, and ShowPad to map out a routing schedule.
  • Establish strong relationships with Key Decision Makers and MEP NAMs in the territory.
  • Drive top-line sales through strategic initiative planning and sell-in opportunities with Key Decision Makers.
  • Engage with End Users for selling and lead generation purposes.
  • Manage accountability with KPIs and goals to ensure servicing standards.
  • Leverage territory relationships to drive sales and support internal teams.
  • Manage assigned business in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) groups.
  • Execute strategic plans using Go-to-Market strategy, product/service marketing programs, and targeted funds.
  • Regularly call on Key Customers with daily travel requirements to distributors, customers, and events.
  • Achieve sales targets for Power Tools, Hand Tools, Accessories, and support Key Regional Chains.
  • Communicate opportunities, issues, and trends to management and marketing.
  • Effectively manage Travel and Entertainment (T&E) and Material Authorization Program (MAP) budgets, field schedule.
  • Ensure proper and effective use of SalesForce.com to document work plans, visit logs, and customer master data accuracy.
  • Understand and utilize Power BI and Microsoft Suite.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business Management or Engineering preferred); Master’s degree preferred.
  • Relevant construction field or client job site experience could substitute for higher education.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience in Product, Commercial, Industrial, or similar background.
  • Ability to analyze PowerBI and SalesForce data to develop strategic growth plans and improve financial performance.
  • Willingness to frequently travel up to 50% Local travel; 30% Overnight travel.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and pass all drug and criminal background checks.
  • Capable of handling, training on, and demonstrating our products, including the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Some additional physical labor will be required and being on your feet for several hours a day.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $67,200-$108,200. This is the lowest to highest total target cash compensation range we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. Total target cash compensation offered may vary depending on multiple factors including job level, geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and in compliance with local wage requirements.

Schedule

This role is eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission. Therefore, the total target cash compensation range is inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation. Please note that salary is only one component of total rewards at Stanley Black & Decker. The target cash compensation range listed in this job posting reflects the range for the primary location specified. The cash compensation range may vary for other locations. The successful candidate may be eligible for annual merit increases.
