Territory Manager (Food & Beverage Business)

About the role

This position is responsible for managing sales operations, including target setting, field force management, expense monitoring, and strategic planning to achieve sales objectives across assigned territories.

Responsibilities

• Prepare area-wise sales targets and formulate incentives for the Field Force
• Monitor expenses and set tour programs
• Formulate agendas for monthly sales meetings (SR and Area meetings) and evaluate Field Force performance
• Develop territory-wise sales plans and achieve monthly secondary sales targets
• Monitor SR performance and conduct sales reviews
• Manage distributors and ensure product availability in assigned territories
• Analyze sales data and prepare reports
• Plan, organize, and monitor sales activities to ensure targeted objectives are met
• Plan, develop, and implement sales operations across the organization
• Implement and evaluate product launches and promotional activities
• Collect regular marketing feedback to stay updated on industry trends and provide strategic guidelines for upgrading weak markets
• Motivate team members and provide effective training to all levels of the area team
• Develop forecast planning and inventory management at depot and customer levels
• Ensure efficient and effective credit management to maximize business output

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree (Honors) in any discipline
• At least 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience in the following business areas: Manufacturing (FMCG), Wholesale, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, or Group of Companies
