About the role
The Territory Manager role is integral to Cencora's mission of creating healthier futures for both humans and animals. This position is part of MWI Animal Health, a leading brand under Cencora.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Generate sales of products and equipment to veterinarians and new customers within an assigned territory.
- Utilize computer tools and MWI e-mail, promotions, and websites to enhance sales efforts.
- Understand and meet the needs of veterinarians and clinics to select appropriate products and services.
- Establish and maintain relationships with veterinarians and clinics.
- Analyze sales data and use reports to plan sales calls.
- Prepare and maintain a written call cycle, including account information.
- Stay updated on MWI products and sales programs.
- Detail and demonstrate new products and promotions to customers.
- Ensure timely submission of sales reports.
- Meet sales targets and budgets for the territory and manufacturer.
- Act as a resource for customers on various matters, including inventory management and product inquiries.
- Maintain a professional appearance and support materials in the vehicle.
- Work closely with key vendors and product specialists.
- Respond to customer communications and requests from MWI team members and manufacturer representatives.
Experience And Educational Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant industry or sales experience is required.
- One to three years of relevant industry or sales experience, preferably in animal health, is desired.
Minimum Skills, Knowledge And Ability Requirements
- Speak effectively in individual or group situations, recognizing and presenting information to others.
- Show excellent interpersonal, presentation, and organizational skills, and have a proven ability to sell.
- Have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
