Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Director of Sales, achieving and exceeding company sales goals.
  • Sell batteries to customers, maintain inventory, and open new business in the New Jersey market.
  • Invoice units that fail to last the full warranty period.
  • Organize routes, keep operations updated, and maintain an equipped dealer list.
  • Provide professional service to dealers on a regular basis and maintain new accounts.
  • Establish strong relationships in the area and achieve growth/hit sales targets.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan to expand the company’s customer base and ensure strong market presence.
  • Own recruiting, objective setting, and performance management.
  • Build and promote long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Identify growth opportunities within the current customer base and develop new business.
  • Analyze sales data to find opportunities for growth.
  • Resolve customer issues with strong customer service skills.
  • Communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with customers and employees.
  • Collaborate with other department leads.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sales Management in a highly competitive market; prior success selling wholesale auto parts, particularly in the aftermarket industry, preferred.
  • Experience prospecting new business and closing sales with installers, fleets, municipalities, and car dealerships.
  • Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to act independently with minimal daily direction to accomplish objectives.
  • Outgoing, assertive, and proactive personality with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Results-focused, driven, and committed to growth.
  • Proficient in Google Applications and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • General automotive knowledge is helpful.
  • Maintain and promote workplace safety.
  • Securing and transferring cash or other assets.
  • DOT Medical Card required.

Minimum USD $55,000.00/year.
