Tenure-Track Faculty Positions in Structural Engineering
About the role
The College of Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus, invites applications for two tenure track faculty members in the area of structural engineering.
Responsibilities
Candidates will be expected to build successful collaborations within both departments. Teaching and service responsibilities of each faculty member will primarily be in their home department. The academic home, rank and other terms of appointment will be determined during the hiring process.
Qualifications
- Candidates at the rank of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor must have a Ph.D. in civil, architectural or other closely related fields in engineering by the start of the appointment.
- Candidates at the Assistant Professor level must have demonstrated ability as a researcher and must have shown definite evidence of growth in scholarly or professional achievement.
- Candidates for Associate Professor must possess the same qualifications as the Assistant Professor, but must also provide evidence of an established reputation in teaching as well as scholarly and professional achievement.
