Mechanical Engineering Faculty (Tenure-Track)

About the role

The position is responsible for managing the university's technology infrastructure and ensuring its efficient operation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of all IT systems and equipment.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT operations.
• Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
• Manage the university's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of IT resources.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in IT management.
• Proven experience in managing complex IT systems and networks.
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of IT professionals.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira or Trello.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in networking, server administration, and software development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and disaster recovery planning.
