About the role
The position is responsible for managing the university's technology infrastructure and ensuring its efficient operation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of all IT systems and equipment.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for IT operations.
- Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students.
- Manage the university's network infrastructure, including servers, routers, and switches.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of IT resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in IT management.
- Proven experience in managing complex IT systems and networks.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and cybersecurity best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team of IT professionals.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira or Trello.
Skills
- Technical proficiency in networking, server administration, and software development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and disaster recovery planning.
