Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tennis Facility Director to lead all aspects of our tennis operations, including high-performance coaching, program development, staff management, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- High Performance & Player Development:
- Lead and oversee high-performance programs (junior academy, elite training)
- Design and implement player development pathways from beginner to elite levels
- Coach high-level players and mentor competitive athletes
- Support tournament planning, college placement pathways, and travel team development
- Evaluate player progress and provide structured feedback systems
- Program Management & Supervision:
- Oversee all tennis programming (junior, adult, camps, clinics, private lessons)
- Ensure consistent quality and structure across all programs
- Manage scheduling, court utilization, and program logistics
- Maintain high standards for customer experience and engagement
- Staff Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage coaching staff and front desk team
- Carry out performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching/mentorship to staff
- Create a strong team culture focused on professionalism, energy, and player development
- Create clear expectations, systems, and accountability across the team
- Lead team meetings and ensure alignment across all programs
- Business Development & Growth:
- Drive revenue growth through program expansion, new initiatives, and improved retention
- Develop and implement strategies to increase participation across all programs
- Identify new opportunities (events, leagues, partnerships, camps, etc.)
- Support marketing efforts, outreach, and community engagement
- Track KPIs (revenue, utilization, retention, conversion rates)
- Operations & Facility Management:
- Oversee daily operations of the facility, ensuring smooth execution across all areas
- Coordinate scheduling, court assignments, and staffing coverage
- Maintain high facility standards (cleanliness, organization, safety)
- Manage equipment, supplies, and operational needs
- Handle customer inquiries, escalations, and service recovery when needed
- Events & Community Engagement:
- Organize tournaments, leagues, social events, and special programming
- Build relationships with members, families, and the local community
- Create a strong, welcoming, and high-energy club environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Director of Tennis, Head Coach, or similar leadership role is preferred
- Strong coaching background
- Proven ability to manage teams and lead staff effectively
- Experience with program development and business growth
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to balance on-court coaching with administrative responsibilities
- Passion for tennis and player development at all levels

Compensation
