About the role
ZED Electric is a fast-growing electrical service company based in San Diego, CA. They are currently seeking a Temporary Service Dispatcher to support their operations team during an employee leave period. This role is full-time and expected to last approximately 3–6 months, with the possibility of extension depending on business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Schedule and dispatch service technicians using Service Titan
- Cook up technician routing and daily scheduling adjustments
- Monitor job progress and technician availability throughout the day
- Support field operations by helping maintain an organized dispatch board
- Communicate clearly with technicians, customers, and office staff
- Maintain accurate job notes and service documentation
- Aid with scheduling coordination and workflow management
- Support the Operations Manager with operational and administrative tasks as needed
- Maintain a calm, organized, and solution-focused attitude in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in dispatch, scheduling coordination, or field service operations
- Experience in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or other trades (strongly preferred)
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Service Titan or similar field service software (preferred)
- Tech-savvy with iPhones, Google Workspace, and scheduling tools
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay: $28 per hour
