Role Summary
The registered nurse (RN) collaborates with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, focusing on diagnosing and treating responses to health problems.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive assessments
- Developing individualized care plans
- Coordinating care activities
- Administering medications
- Documenting care accurately
- Participating in quality assurance activities and emergency situations, ensuring protocols and policies are followed
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum nine months of RN experience, with at least one year in the emergency department or completion of a related internship program
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license
- Certifications required within specified timeframes: Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, NIH Stroke Scale, Pediatric Advanced Life Support or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
- Proficiency in computer skills and emergency procedures
Preferred Attributes
- Previous healthcare experience and a bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
- Certifications such as CEN and TNCC, with the ability to interpret cardiac dysrhythmias
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and professional standards adherence
