Temporary - Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Med/Surg Unit (MS4)

About the role

The Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit at Maine Medical Center – Biddeford is a 40 Bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) unit providing step-down level care for patients no longer needing full ICU level care, offering a concentration of post-cardiac procedure and cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development.
• Independently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
• ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
• OB, NICURN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
• One year of RN experience required.
• Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse – Acute Care role.
• Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.

Qualifications

Must be separated from a MaineHealth facility for greater than 12 months.
