About the role
The Medical/Surgical Unit is a 36-bed, patient-centered inpatient unit within a small community hospital, caring for adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Nurses on this unit provide comprehensive care for patients recovering from illness, surgery, infection, exacerbation of chronic disease, and other general medical needs. The unit also offers Virtual Critical Care support for IMC-level patients, helping nurses deliver safe, well-supported care for patients with higher acuity needs.
Responsibilities
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong assessment, prioritization, patient education and interdisciplinary communication skills required
- Previous med/surg or acute care nursing experience preferred
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Strong assessment, prioritization, patient education and interdisciplinary communication skills required

Pay
Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30
Schedule
Nights x3 12hr shifts every 3rd weekend holiday rotation
