Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Med/Surg Unit (MS4) - New Graduates Welcome

This is a Registered Nurse 1 and 2 vacancy open to all RN candidates For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2years of experience! Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
About the role
The Cardiac Medical/Surgical Unit at Maine Medical Center – Biddeford is a 40 Bed Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) unit providing step-down level care for patients no longer needing full ICU level care offering a concentration of post-cardiac procedure and cardiac patients. This department is on a self-scheduling model, with normal shifts 12 hours in duration.
Responsibilities
- Manages patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development
- Independently assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates patient care
- Provides annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred
- Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required
- Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date
- ICU, SCU, ED and PACURN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines
- OBRN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines
- One year of RN experience required
- Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse – Acute Care role
Bonus
