About the role
The Cardiology and Medical-Surgical Unit (4SE) at UW Medical Center - Montlake is a 28-bed unit that provides care for cardiology and cardiac post-op patients, post-electrophysiology and interventional radiology procedure patients, and med-surg/telemetry patients. The unit's priority is post-cardiac procedure patients, which includes femoral sheath monitoring and IV drug infusions. The unit also cares for post-op patients as space allows and treats a diverse medical-surgical patient population, offering excellent learning opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Provide acute patient care
- Triage patient care priorities in collaboration with team members
- Maintain and monitor medications and IVs
- Follow evidence-based nursing practices
Requirements
- One year current/recent med-surg or cardiac nursing experience
- Licensed to work as an RN in the State of Washington
Qualifications
BSN (or higher degree) premium - $1.00/hour; Certification (Specialty Certs) premium - $1.25/hour
