Registered Nurse - Cardiac Med/Surg

About the role

This is a full-time .9FTE night shift position at IU Methodist's A3North.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
• Treatment of post interventional cardiovascular surgery patients including CABG, valve replacement, heart catheterization, and peripheral vascular surgeries such as revascularization and amputations.
• Maintain a supportive and collaborative work environment.
• Participate in ongoing learning and development initiatives.

Requirements

• Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
• Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
• Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
• Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
• Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.

Pay

The position currently qualifies for a NEW hourly wage differential in addition to standard shift and holiday differentials. More details about this differential will be provided during the interview process.
